Agora was the heart of the ancient city - a place of social meetings, of trade and dealings, of cults and festivals, but above all, a place of democracy.
Through the representations of the Culture App, you'll discover the monuments, that compose the different aspects of ancient Athens: the seat of the civil administration, the temples and sanctuaries, courts, stoas, fountains and workshops. You'll get to know the place, where the democracy was established for the first time in the world’s history and admire a unique world, full of history, that unfolds before your eyes!

- tickets to Agora are not included. For summer season 1/4 - 31/10: 10 euros (adult) - 5 euros (65+ and ages 6-25 years for non EU citizens). EU citizens up to 25 and children up to 5 years are free. For winter season 1/11 - 31/03: 5 euros (adult)

- the place is wheelchair accessible through the central entrance, at 24 Adrianou str.
- after booking, you'll receive an email from the tour provider (Culture App) with instructions on how to download the content
- smartphones should be fully charged

The easiest way to reach the archaeological site is by metro. Take the RED line and get off at the Monastiraki metro station or the GREEN line and get off at the Thissio station. In both cases, a 5-minute walk will get you to the archaeological site.
