Embark in an air-conditioned modern bus from 4 central meeting points and travel for to the area of Peloponnese. One-hour drive away from Athens, in the area of Peloponnese, you'll be able to find the famous Corinth Canal. The Corinth Canal is a canal that connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. After that, you'll head to Ancient Corinth. Renowned for its wealth and architecture, Corinth was the site of Greece’s final stand against Rome. After the defeat, the Romans levelled the city, then rebuilt it as a Roman settlement with theaters, a forum and imperial temples. Relive the past with the virtual reality application that you'll use in the archaeological site while listening to the fascinating history with your audio guide. The museum of the Site is also a must to visit. There is also a nearby village for a quick lunch or snacks.
On your way back to Athens, you can stop for photos in the ancient port of Kechries. In ancient times, Kenchreai was one of the two ports of the inland city-state of Corinth. Then, you'll head back to Athens.
