Less than an hour from the city center, travel along Dublin's north coastline and come off the beaten track for a spectacular hike in this popular and historic headland. From close to the city center, take a bus or train along a coastal route to arrive at the historic fishing village of Howth. Choose to lunch in a local pub or bring your own packed lunch to eat al fresco to stunning views. Sample the sites and sounds of the fishing village before returning to the city by bus or train.

- Distance: 12.5km / 8 miles
- Please note that a minimum of 2 people is needed for the private tour to run and a minimum of 5 people is required for the shared tour
- This is a moderate hike of approximately 4 hours duration. Guests are required to be in good health with a good level of physical fitness
- The minimum age required is 13 years
- Comfortable clothing (not cotton based, e.g. denim) suitable for the weather conditions
- Comfortable flat-soled shoes with a good grip (hiking boots ideally, or trainers)
- Good quality rainwear (rain jacket essential and waterproof over-trousers preferable)
- Extra upper body base layers in cold weather
- Hat and gloves in cold weather
- Snack and drink. Packed lunch or pocket money for lunch purchase
- Any medication or equipment as required by known medical conditions
- Small rucksack to carry the above items
