Whale watching tour and Whales of Iceland exhibition entrance tickets
On this combined tour, you'll learn everything about the amazing whales and sail out to spot them yourself. A whale watching tour in Faxaflói Bay, departing from the Old Harbour in downtown Reykjavik, and visiting the Whales of Iceland museum will give you unique insight into the lives of these fantastic creatures. You can choose if you want to start with the whale watching tour or a visit to the museum. They are located about a 12-minute walk from each other.
Set sail onboard a Classic or Express whale watching tour where you can spot whales in their natural habitat. Humpback whales, minke whales, white-beaked dolphins and harbour porpoises are commonly spotted in Faxaflói Bay. From the boat it can be difficult to picture exactly how huge these animals are, but at the Whales of Iceland museum you can see full-scale models and deepen your understanding. The museum boasts all 23 species of whales that have been found in Icelandic waters throughout history in actual size. You'll also learn many interesting facts about the whales: their biology, the sounds they make, how far they swim, and much more.

- There are daily guided tour in English at Whales of Iceland at 10.30am and 1.30pm, open to anyone with a ticket to the museum at no extra cost
- You only need to select a departure time for the whale watching tour, and not for the museum. The museum ticket is an open ticket, which means you can choose when you want to go on the day of your scheduled tour
- In the event that you do not spot any whales on the tour, you are welcome to join another tour free of charge
