Join a fun day trip to the Chianti countryside, meet other travelers about your age and discover why the area is famous for its landscape as well as its wine. Visit 2 wineries, taste 7 different wine types, 3 varieties of olive oil, balsamic vinegar and Tuscan snacks in beautiful scenery and visit San Gimignano all in one day!
The first stop will be at a winery and wine tasting school located an hour from Florence where you will taste 4 different wine types including the famous Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, Super Tuscan wines, as well as 30-year-old balsamic vinegar and delicious truffle extra virgin olive oil. Learn how to recognize the different flavors and delight your taste buds under the guidance of a passionate wine producer.
Next, visit a local winery in a stunning area facing the famous towers of San Gimignano which is well known for the production of DOCG Vernaccia. The winemaker will guide you through the vineyards and the cellars and share the secrets of wine and olive oil production as well as the best combinations of wine and food. Here you will enjoy 3 wines: Vernaccia white wine, rosé wine and Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG.
In the afternoon you will have some free time to wander through the narrow streets of San Gimignano, the most beautiful medieval town in Tuscany. Marvel at the tower-filled skyline while eating ice cream made by a world champion gelateria.
