If it's your first time in Rome, this tour is perfect! Follow your guide to the major attractions of the city including the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and the buzzing Piazza Navona!You'll start at Piazza Navona and learn the history and lore behind Bernini's famous Fountain of the Four Rivers and the truth behind its hidden messages. Then it's on to the Pantheon, Rome's best-preserved ancient building. You'll get to explore this 1,900-year-old building just as the crowds begin to thin. Once a temple to the ancient gods, today the Pantheon is a church and burial place for some of Italy's most important historical figures - your guide has some pretty juicy stories about their lives and deaths too. Next, you'll stop for some delicious gelato before continuing to the iconic Trevi Fountain. As you throw a coin (or three) into the water, you'll learn the lore behind what each one means for your future. - Due to the religious nature of the Pantheon, all individuals regardless of gender must cover their shoulders and knees. You can bring extra covering (scarves, etc.) to put on just before entering the Pantheon
- On Sundays and other holy days, you'll tour the Pantheon from the exterior
- This is a walking tour. Guests should be able to walk at a moderate pace without difficulty
