Afterward, visit the Romanesque cloister of the Franciscan monastery founded in 1317, the third oldest pharmacy in Europe and the first that was open to the public. Your guide will share with you some legends and tales from the time when medicine was made exclusively from herbs, sometimes even from animals’ venoms.
