At the Imperial Treasury, discover the treasures of the Habsburgs in the oldest part of the Hofburg Palace – the Swiss Wing. Observe the most precious jewels – among them one of the largest emeralds in the world – that testify to the former power of the Habsburg dynasty. Admire the Austrian imperial crown and the imperial treasures of the Holy Roman Empire, featuring the "Reichskrone" (Holy Roman Crown) and the Holy Lance.
Explore with the new audio guided tour the newest wing of the Wiener Hofburg, the New Hofburg Palace. This is the youngest part of Vienna’s famous Hofburg and houses unique collections. See suits of armour, a fortepiano that was once played by Mozart, and the only wax bust to show Joseph Haydn as he was in life. The tour passes through those halls and rooms which were originally intended for Sisi; sadly, the Empress, who was murdered in 1898, never lived there.
