As you tread upon the grounds of the former camp, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the lives of those confined within its walls. Witness exhibitions housed in the very barracks where they once lived, each telling a chilling tale of survival and loss. It is estimated that over 1.5 million individuals from 28 nationalities perished here, with Jews making up nearly 90% of the victims.
Following a brief interlude, continue your journey to Auschwitz II-Birkenau. Here, your guide will accompany you along the railway tracks that once facilitated transport to this part of the camp. Stand before the ruins of gas chambers where countless lives were extinguished en masse. - Names must be identical to the photo ID visitors must bring to enter the Museum
- The memorial's visitor service determines the pace and duration of the tours according to the weather
