Enter the most visited museum in Krakow, the UNESCO World Heritage List Wawel Castle, on a guided tour. Leading up to the castle, admire the rocky outcropping of Wawel Hill towering over the banks of the Vistula River that once was the seat of secular and ecclesiastical power.

The former residence of Polish kings and a symbol of statehood became a museum in 1930. Inside its collections hold paintings, sculptures, fabrics, goldsmiths, military items, porcelain and furniture. Permanent exhibitions recreate the appearance of the rooms from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. The chambers display the famous tapestries of Zygmunt August, Renaissance Italian paintings from the Lanckoronski collection, and the Eastern art contaisn the largest collection of tents in Europe.
