Take an exciting day tour from Wroclaw to explore Dresden - one of the most beautiful German cities. For centuries Dresden was the capital of an independent state of Saxony, which under the Wettin dynasty was a flourishing center of culture, art and architecture. The city was considered the pearl of European baroque with numerous churches, palaces, and townsmen’s houses contributing to its unique atmosphere.

The controversial ally bombing at the end of War World II, despite thousands of deaths and great urban substance damage, did not affect Dresdner Old Town entirely - today a powerful symbol of German revival and reconstruction.

The tour starts on the famous Brühl's Terrace offering a spectacular view over the Elbe river. During a 2,5-hour walking tour, you will admire the most noteworthy sights including the representative Residential Palace and the Catholic Court Church. Then you will be amazed by the splendid Semper Opera House and the famous Zwinger Palace.

Strolling down the charming streets of Dresden you will see one of the world's longest mural paintings – portraying Saxon rulers from the 11th till 19th century. The tour ends with the visit to an emblematic Church of our Lady (Frauenkirche), a powerful symbol of German determination to reconstruct the material legacy lost during World War II.
