Travel along the hairpin turns of the Transfagarasan road while crossing the Carpathian mountains to reach Poienari fortress. Journey down the valley to the Curtea de Arges monastery burial site of the kings of Romania and stop at Cozia Monastery.

Visit Curtea de Arges Monastery, most important pilgrimage and prayer place in the county of Arges. Founded in the time of voivode Neagoe Basarab, between 1512 and 1517, today is the burial place for our royal family.
On your return to Sibiu you will also admire the Monastery Cozia, built close to Călimănești by Mircea the Elder in 1388 and housing his tomb. this is one of the most valuable monuments of national medieval art and architecture in Romania.
