Vienna is located just one hour by bus from Bratislava. These are the two closest capital cities in Europe. Both cities have similar roots, as both have been part of the Austro – Hungarian Empire. Empress Maria Theresa has been crowned in both cities, in Bratislava as Queen of Hungary and in Vienna as Empress of Austria. The bus will depart from the Vienna Erdberg Bus Station at 10.20 am and you will arrive in Bratislava at 11.30 am at the Most SNP bus stop. You will have some free time in Bratislava until 12.00 pm.
You will then meet your guide at 12:00 pm in front of the main entrance of the Park Inn Danube Hotel (just 250 meters from the bus stop, you will just need to cross the zebra crossing). At noon you will start the walking tour in the historic city center of Bratislava.
The tour has three different food options: a- lunch, b- lunch with beer and c- coffee and cake. At the end of the walking tour, the guide will bring you to the café for the coffee and cake, to the restaurant for lunch or show you the way to the local beer house (Sladovna Beer House, Venturska 7, Bratislava), according to your choice.
After coffee and cake/lunch you will have free time in Bratislava, for walking, shopping, or just enjoying yourself in the beauty of the Danube.
The departure of the bus to return to Vienna is at 6.20pm from the same bus station, where the bus arrived in the morning. The arrival in Vienna is at 7.20pm in the evening.
