Vil du have en perfekt kulør mens du prøver noget nyt? Så er en tur i et hammam eller tyrkisk bad lige noget for dig. Hammam har eksisteret i Tyrkiet siden oldtiden, og det gav lokalbefolkningen mulighed for at slappe af og blive plejet. Det er også en perfekt mulighed for at få skrubbet huden – og så giver det en flottere kulør bagefter.
Vi starter med at tage til et af de bedste lokale tyrkiske bade. Her skifter du til badetøj og vikler dig ind i et håndklæde. Så er det afsted til selve badet - et fugtigt, marmor-flisebelagt rum med en "gobektasi" (opvarmet stenplade) i midten. Her slapper du af mens varmen blødgør din hud, åbner dine porer, og udskiller forskellige toksiner.
Derefter lægger du dig på stenpladen, hvor du bliver behandlet med en body scrub efterfulgt af en top-til-tå massage med bløde, sæbevandsbobler. Derefter får du en all-over oliemassage, der efterlader dig mere afslappet end du nogensinde har følt dig før. Det er en fantastisk måde at starte ferien på.
