The tour starts in front of Bamberg Cathedral, also known as the imperial Cathedral of St. Peter and St. George. Step inside and admire art treasures and the marble tombs of Emperor Heinrich II and his wife. Here you will also find the only papal grave in Germany and the popular Bamberg Horseman. Enjoy a walk to the Old Court, once the residence of the Bishop and nowadays home of the Museum of History and St. Katherine’s Chapel. Pass through the "Beautiful Gateway" to get to the romantic inner courtyard and admire the surrounding half-timbered buildings. See the New Residence, the Imperial Hall and visit the Rose Garden.
