Zimmerstrasse and Niederkirchnerstrasse were no streets at the time of division, but the death strip along the Wall. Likewise, Potsdamer Platz and Pariser Platz were empty places that neither West nor East Berliners were allowed to enter. Today, life pulsates here again.
