Upon arrival and introductions, you'll be offered a welcome drink before having the opportunity to assist with meal preparation. For those who prefer, there's also the option to observe, take notes, or capture photographs of the cooking process. The host families possess at least basic English language skills, allowing for meaningful conversations about daily life in their country.

This experience encourages a mutual exchange of cultural insights. You're welcome to enquire about any aspects of local life that interest you, whilst also sharing stories about your own background and homeland. Many host families express a keen interest in learning about different cultures from their visitors. It's worth noting that these experiences are accredited by the World Fair Trade Organization, ensuring ethical practices and fair compensation for the host families.

Meeting point and meeting point details will be shared upon booking confirmation that you will receive after the booking
On the terrace, you’ll find many shoes. It is customary to take off your shoes before entering a house. Adapt your clothes to the local culture. In bigger cities they are more open-minded than in the countryside. Too much skin is not appreciated anywhere
Discuss with each other when you or the local family want to take pictures (and/or post them on social media). Most of the times everyone is fine with it
