Spring Tour of Cherry Blossom Hotspots in Osaka and Nara

Set off bright and early from Osaka to Nara Park, nestled at the base of Mount Wakakusa. This park is famed for its roughly 1,700 cherry trees, including varieties such as Nara Yaezakura and Somei Yoshino. Come springtime, the park morphs into a blush-hued ocean of blossoms. Friendly deer wander freely, often approaching visitors for snacks. Snap some beautiful photos near the scenic Ukimido Pavilion. If time permits, pay a visit to the nearby Todai-ji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to delve into Nara’s rich history.

Next, head over to Yoshino Mountain, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Japan’s most revered cherry blossom locations. Home to over 30,000 cherry trees, Yoshino provides the famous “one thousand trees at a glance” spectacle. Meander along the mountain trails from the lower slopes (Shimo Senbon) to the upper peaks (Oku Senbon). Visit historical landmarks such as Kinpusen-ji Temple and Yoshimizu Shrine to learn about Shugendo Buddhism and appreciate the cultural importance of the area.

As a keepsake of your journey, you'll receive a cherry blossom bell. This spring tour guides you through Japan’s most iconic cherry blossom hotspots, blending natural splendour, cultural exploration, and unforgettable experiences.
