The Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart is located in the former railroad station between Hamburg and Berlin (Hamburger Bahnhof).
The 30,000 square meter area consisting of the historic station building, the Rieckhallen and gardens has been listed as a monument since February 2023.
The collection presentations inside and outside the museum show a panorama of Berlin's art scene from reunification in 1989 to the present day.
Up to 10 special exhibitions per year show current artistic positions from all over the world and complement the collection presentations.
The museum is open to the public with a wide range of daily guided tours, bookable workshops, performances, concerts and talks.
