Ca' Pesaro is the most important baroque palace in the city, home to the modern art collection of Venice.
The main nucleus of the collection is formed by famous masterpieces, such as Judith II (Salome) by Klimt (1909) and the Rabbi of Vitebsk by Chagall (1914-1922), the waxes of Medardo Rosso, works by Kandinsky, Klee, Matisse, Moore and Wildt. The third floor also houses the Museum of Oriental Art.
The palace still conserves some of the fresco and oil decorations on the ceilings, the work of artists such as Bambini, Pittoni, Crosato, Trevisani and Brusaferro.
