Your fantastic journey begins by driving through the picturesque Valley of Mexico, admiring the landscapes and the standing Volcanoes.

Soon, you'll arrive at Paso de Cortes, a mountain pass nestled between the mighty guardians of the land, the Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl volcanoes. At 3400 m altitude, the air feels crisp and stimulating. You'll soon be in La Joya, a mountain hut perched at a breathtaking elevation of 3977 m. Here, surrounded by nature’s splendor, the conquer trek of 4-hours begins towards the snow line of the volcano. As you ascend the slopes of Iztaccihuatl, you’ll be rewarded with the marveling panorama, revealing the awe beauty of the Valley of Mexico and the sight of Popocatepetl, Mexico’s second-tallest volcano.

After defeating the giant guardians, head to the charming town of Amecameca. Delight in exploring its beautiful historic center and savoring the local food specialties.

During this tour you will reach a height of over 4400m (vs 2300m in Mexico City), travelers coming from lower altitudes should preferably stay at least 1-2 days in Mexico City upon arrival for adaptation to avoid altitude sickness
