Get picked up in Muscat by a local guide and travel in a 4WD to one of the most surprising wadis in Oman: Wadi Sahtan. Along the way experience an off-road on the mountainous track to admire the diverse habitats and spot the majestic peak of Jebel Shams. Walk in an old village, where you can interact with the local inhabitants and learn from them about their lifestyle and agricultural techniques. Get refreshed in the sun-kissed crystalline pools and follow the falaj system till the waterfalls.

Have a break for lunch tasting local food and try eating with your hands like a local. Keep the camera ready to capture the archaeological site on the way to your next stop, Wadi Hoqain. Here you'll feel a deep connection with nature, as the wadi is secluded, away from the more frequented areas.
