Take an intimate look behind the doors of a historic Viennese palace, immerse yourself in the world of the Lobkowitz family, and discover masterpieces by major Viennese artists with an audio guide.
The opulence of the baroque architecture provides a stunning visual experience from the moment you step into the building. A special highlight of the tour is the Jugendstil painting Nuda Veritas, one of the best-known works by Gustav Klimt. Admire this masterpiece and learn more about its meaning and symbolism.
Another highlight is the Eroica Hall, named after Beethoven's celebrated Eroica Symphony, which was performed here for the very first time. Follow in the footsteps of the greatest composer and learn more about the history of the hall and the musicological significance of the Eroica Symphony.
After your tour has ended, take some time to relax in the cozy atmosphere of the Café Lobkowitz and enjoy a moment of tranquillity as you let the impressions of what you have seen sink in.
Viktig informasjon
Know in advance:
- Temporary Update (valid from 10 September to 3 December 2024): due to the construction works for the big anniversary exhibition of Strauss, the Theatermuseum theatre will remain closed. Also note that Klimt's Nuda Veritas is currently on loan and will be back on December 4, 2024
- From spring to autumn, the Café Lobkowitz is open Wednesday to Sunday, from 10.00am to 5.30pm (except in stormy weather or heavy rain)
- Opening hours: Daily except Tuesday, from 10.00am to 6.00pm
- The audio guide is available in English and German
