Learn about the history of Casa Codorníu, the creator of cava, with this guided tour! You’ll walk through the modernist building, a masterpiece from the architect Josep Puig y Cadafalch which was declared a Historical-Artistic Monument in 1976. Then, you’ll learn about the history of the Codorníu family while visiting the gardens and discover the story around the first cava bottle.

You’ll descend into the underground cellars dating back to the 19th century and learn about the elaboration process of cava. You’ll admire an exhibit of traditional cava making machinery and enjoy a train tour around the cellars. Finally, you’ll taste 3 premium cavas and enjoy a delicious lunch and aperitif.

If you book your visit at 3:15, 3.30 or 3:45 p.m., lunch will be served before the visit (1:00 p.m.). For the rest of the hours, the restaurant service is available from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Please note that the Aperitif of the morning tours will consist of 3 cheeses and that of the afternoon tours will consist of 3 chocolates
The lunch menu includes starters to share paired with Ars Collecta Gran Rosé and including ham mount, Perol meat croquettes and cod fritters; a second course to share between two people paired with Ars Collecta Blanc de Blancs and to choose between grilled octopus with bacon and romesco sauce or grilled scalloped entrecote with 15 days of maturation. The dessert will consist of homemade cheesecake paired with Ars Collecta Blanc de Noirs
Bread, water and coffee are also included in the menu
