Your journey north to Stirling retraces the path of ancient invading armies, once the Northern frontier of the Roman Empire and a battleground during the Wars of Scottish Independence.
As you near Stirling, the imposing castle comes into view. Known as the 'Key to Scotland,' it witnessed pivotal Scottish historical battles. Explore its rich history and uncover royal court secrets during your visit.
Heading into the Highlands, you'll enter the Trossachs National Park, a realm of glistening lochs, rugged mountains, and lush glens, once a refuge for outlaws like Rob Roy. Learn about this folk hero and bask in the surrounding natural beauty before a picturesque lunch in Aberfoyle.
Continuing through the park, you reach the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, framed by majestic mountains and graced with over 30 islands, a source of inspiration for songs and poems through the ages. Afterward, as you leave the loch and national park behind, your return journey takes you back to Glasgow, arriving in the early evening.
