Explore Prague's fascinating history at the Story of Prague Museum, where the past comes alive through engaging exhibits and immersive storytelling. From medieval roots to the Velvet Revolution, this museum takes you on a journey through Prague's most significant historical milestones.

Visitors will experience the age of knights, kings, the military leader Jan Žižka, and the Hussites, as well as the medieval construction of the Old Town Hall and Astronomical Clock. The museum doesn’t shy away from the darker chapters of history, showcasing medieval torture (thankfully, without practical demonstrations), along with the Golem, a mysterious figure from ancient folklore.

On the second floor, you'll delve into the era of Nazi occupation, witness the bombing of Prague, and explore the period of Soviet dominance. You'll get a glimpse into the interrogations, espionage, and political tensions that defined the mid-20th century. The top floor, however, highlights the uplifting Velvet Revolution, celebrating Czech achievements and offering a cinema hall with inspiration for more Prague explorations.

With elements of augmented reality and mixed media installations, that blends authentic stories with cinematic installations and audio-digital elements, the museum offers an exciting and unique way to engage with Prague's rich history. The museum promises not dry exhibits, but an engaging, hands-on experience full of authentic stories, hidden rooms, and surprises not found in any photos.

The opening hours are from 10.00 am to 08.00 pm with the last possible entry at 07.00 pm. Opening hours may change during Christmas
