Follow a real night watchman through the evening Bonn and experience the city from a different perspective!
Those were dangerous times and not an easy task for the night watchman. For in addition to the usual riffraff, war, fire and plague threatened the electoral residential city in the 17th century. A hard-boiled man was needed to keep the city safe during the night.
Follow the night watchman and learn all about his work and duties. Learn how the old medieval city walls were guarded, how the gates were closed and how the vineyards had to be protected against sacrilegious people. Listen to stories about the "Black Death" and how they dealt with mischief-makers, witches and blasphemers. Discover how the Dutch, of all people, entrenched themselves on the Pfaffenmütz in the Rhine outside Bonn and how the battles of the nations did not want to end in Europe at that time.
