Experience the scale and versatility of Ohlsdorf Cemetery as you cycle through its varied and expansive landscape. Follow the traces of its genesis, which started with the lack of space and the conditions of the old inner-city cemeteries.
Learn about the landscape gardening design, led by Wilhelm Cordes and later Otto Linne, as well as art historical aspects of the burial culture. See mausoleums, the anonymous urn field and the newly designed burial forum. Admire the cemetery forest, the water tower, the rose garden and some chapels. Visit the graves of Ida Ehre, Gustav Gründgens, Inge Meysel, Alfred Lichtwark and Fritz Schumacher.
