Mainz Guided Walking Tour
At the indicated time you will meet at the Mainz train station and begin a guided tour to discover the main attractions of the capital of Rhineland-Palatinate.
First of all, you will walk towards the Roman Theater of Mainz, where you will go back to the origins of this German city. You will discover the Roman vestiges that Mainz preserves, also discovering the Citadel.
Afterward, you will walk to the church of San Ignacio, in the Altstadt neighborhood. You will admire the façade of this neoclassical temple from the 18th century. You will continue the tour by approaching another of its great temples, the church of San Agustín. You will fall in love with this Rococo-style building!
Taking advantage of the tour of the historic center of the city, you will discover another of the emblems of Mainz, the Wooden Tower, one of the three medieval towers that still stand. You will pass by the Gutenberg Museum and reach Market Square, where the impressive cathedral awaits you. You will learn everything about this peculiar red sandstone basilica and, admire this beautiful temple.
