Learn how to windsurf in the VDWS basic 3-day course at the Zingst surf school on the Baltic Sea. The course for all those of you who want to learn it properly and want to be able to later surf on their own.
This basic course of windsurfing will lay the foundations for your future surfing career. Experienced VDWS windsurfing instructors who have been windsurfing for more than 20 years are at your side.

Content of the course

Prepare for windsurfing: getting to know the equipment (clothing, board, rig), wind detection etc.

Practice: basic maneuvers, catch up the rig and start, starting aids, forces when starting, stopping, turning the board, steering (luffing, falling off), turning, turning up and as a view: jibing in light winds

Theoretical knowledge: get to know technical terms, information about weather and territory, forces (steering forces when starting, functions of the sail) and driving courses, winds, behavior in nature, safety studies (order on the water, rules of evasion, information on equipment, behavior in emergency situations)

Further topics: board and rig, rigging, knots, clothing, wind direction starting, driving position, board rotation, steering, turning, jibe, courses on wind - crossing, physical forces, avoidance rules, safety first
