Mix things up and see a different side of Vietnam on this tour that includes a 12km bike ride and a rowboat ride through caves and past rice paddies and limestone karsts. In between all that sightseeing and biking, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch at the home of a local family!
Your tour begins with a two-hour drive from Hanoi to the province of Ninh Binh. Your first stop is Hoa Lu, the ancient citadel that was once the capital of Vietnam. Here you'll visit Dinh and Le Temples. Next, it's time for the biking part of the tour. Hop on a bike for about a 12-kilometer ride through the area. On the way, you'll also stop for a drink to cool off from the heat. Then, you'll visit a local family for a homecooked lunch. After lunch, make your way to Trang An, a new addition to UNESCO’s list of heritage sites. The site comprises three areas, one more beautiful than the other, and is often referred to as the Halong Bay of the area due to its spectacular scenery with limestone karsts. Here, you’ll board rowboats for about a 3-hour journey through caves, passing local villages along the Red River Delta. Bring your camera because we are sure you'll want to remember this! At the end of the boat trip, you'll make your way back to Hanoi.
