Within less than two hours drive from Reykjavík is Eyjafjallajökull glacier, and just a little further the Sólheimajökull glacier tongue extends down from Mýrdalsjökull, Iceland's fourth largest glacier. Your professional tour guide will provide you with basic glacier equipment and teach you how to use them.

You will also experience the beauty of the striking waterfalls of Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss, as you'll stop by on the way back to Reykjavik. As a bonus, the tour also includes transport with the Plain Wreck Shuttle to visit the DC-3 wreck on the black beach, a perfect opportunity to take some unique photos.

There is no place where to stop for lunch on this tour, therefore you need to bring along a picnic lunch. It's recommended to sit down for lunch before the hike and maybe have a light snack with you for later
Remember to dress according to the weather. Warm clothes, waterproof jacket, warm socks and sturdy shoes are recommended
