Discover Alberobello - a picturesque Apulian city in the province of Bari. The astonishing “Trulli of Alberobello” have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996 and were awarded by the Italian Touring Club as an excellent accommodation solution and for its architectural harmony.
Winding alleys and characteristic squares intertwine in the Rione Aia Piccola and the Rione Monti, where the "Siamese Trulli", with their original two-cone roof, stand out. Visit the Trullo Sovrano, the biggest one in Alberobello and the only one that was built with two floors. Enjoy a walk in the Rione Aia Piccola district, which is considered an almost hidden part of the city, but at the same time the most admired and decorated during holidays. There are a lot of ancient trulli that are easily recognizable from the colour of the stones that constitute the dome of the Trulli.
You won't miss one of the most important churches in Alberobello, the Cathedral named after the guardian saint protectors of the city. On the inside, it is possible to admire the unique paintings of the saints.
