Visit the stunning Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral which is one of the most visited sites in Europe and definitely, a must-see during your stay in Florence.
Learn about the initial process of construction of the church that dates back to the late Middle Ages. Listen to your guide who will share the most important information starting with the beginning of the works by an architect and urbanist Arnolfo Di Cambio in 1296 and following with other great artists who contributed to the works afterward like Giotto, Francesco Talenti, and Giovanni di Lapo Ghini. The Cathedral was all finished in Renaissance times, in 1434, when Filippo Brunelleschi completed the breathtaking dome, called ‘il cupolone’ by Florentines.
