Villa Reale in Marlia, the much loved home of Elisa Bonaparte Baciocchi – Napoleon’s sister – is one of the most important historical residences in Italy, a few kilometers from Lucca. The estate has been brought back to its former glory as a result of a large-scale restoration project, launched by the new owners a few years ago. The park is striking for its vast size (16 hectares) and incorporates numerous locations of interest as the oldest green theater of Europe.

Discover the impressive Elisa Bonaparte’s apartments in the Royal Villa and the collections of the countess Mimì Pecci-Blunt in the Clock House, take a stroll through the gardens or relax in the Café in the park.

The park is open from 10 to 18 - last entrance 16:30
Museums and Café are open from 10:30 to 17:30
Dogs are welcome in the park on a leash, they can enter the museums in the pet carrier
The Royal Villa museum is accessible to people with motor disabilities by the lifts, while the museum of Clock House is reachable by stairs only
