The Riviera del Brenta, a well-known waterway between Padua and Venice, is a scenic area of historical, natural, artistic and cultural interest. It is a natural extension of the Grand Canal and is flanked by picturesque Venetian villages and surrounded by an agricultural landscape. Throughout the ages, the Riviera del Brenta has fascinated many important personalities: Casanova, Galileo Galilei, Byron, Montesquieu and D'Annunzio visited it, Canaletto, Cimaroli and Tiepolo painted it and it was praised in the masterpieces of Goldoni and Goethe. The French and Russian royal families, the Habsburgs, the Savoy and even Napoleon stayed here, and the Venetian nobility chose it as the setting for their Venetian villas. Here the Venetians built magnificent residences, enclosed by monumental gardens, frescoed and designed by the most important artists of the time, such as Palladio, Titian and Tintoretto.

During this tour, you will visit Villa Widmann or Barchessa di Villa Valmarana (the choice of the villas will depend on the day of the tour and the openings of the villa) and then the monumental Villa Pisani.

The tour includes transportation by train & minivan: Train tickets to and from Venice Santa Lucia train station to Padua station, minivan transfer to and from Padua station to the Venetian Villas
You will have to reach autonomously the train station in Venice and take the train to Padua. Then, you will meet your guide at Padua train station
Before the tour, train tickets will be sent to you by e-mail. Please check your mailbox in order to find them
At the end of the tour, you'll be dropped off by minivan at Padua station and with your train ticket, you can take the train back to Venice Santa Lucia train station
