Join this experience and discover the Portuguese Venice on a half-day tour. Accompanied by an expert guide, you'll explore the city and enjoy a 45-minute ride on a traditional "Moliceiro" boat.
Departing from Coimbra you'll start a trip to Aveiro on an air-conditioned vehicle. Don't miss the chance to get on board a Moliceiro boat and learn how it used to be the transport of seaweed and salt in the past. After the boat ride, the visit will continue with a walking tour of the main features in the city, such as the typical fishermen's quarter and a set of Art Nouveau buildings. Get ready to taste the typical dessert of the area, the traditional Soft Eggs, before heading to Barra, where you'll have the opportunity to admire the white-sandy beach as well as the iconic Aveiro lighthouse.
Your experience will continue in Costa Nova, a fishermen's village characterized by picturesque houses painted with different colored stripes bordering the bay. With your guide, you'll learn how these colorful houses that belonged to local fishermen, became a tourist attraction nowadays.
