Join this experience and discover the Portuguese Venice on a half-day tour. Accompanied by an expert guide, you'll explore the city and enjoy a 45-minute ride on a traditional "Moliceiro" boat.
Departing from Coimbra you'll start a trip to Aveiro on an air-conditioned vehicle. Don't miss the chance to get on board a Moliceiro boat and learn how it used to be the transport of seaweed and salt in the past. After the boat ride, the visit will continue with a walking tour of the main features in the city, such as the typical fishermen's quarter and a set of Art Nouveau buildings. Heading to Barra, where you'll have the opportunity to admire the white-sandy beach as well as the iconic Aveiro lighthouse.
Your experience will continue in Costa Nova, a fishermen's village characterized by picturesque houses painted with different colored stripes bordering the bay. With your guide, you'll learn how these colorful houses that belonged to local fishermen, became a tourist attraction nowadays.
