Depart from your hotel around 10.00 am and explore Transylvania's treasures.
Your day begins with a visit to Prejmer Fortress, one of the best-preserved fortified churches in Transylvania, dating back to the 12th century. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a fine example of the Saxon heritage in the region. Next, head to Sinaia, known as the "Pearl of the Carpathians." Here, you'll visit Peleș Castle, the former summer residence of the Romanian royal family. This stunning Neo-Renaissance castle, built between 1873 and 1914, is known for its intricate architecture, beautiful interior, and impressive art collection. Peleș Castle remains the crown jewel of Sinaia and a must-see destination for all travellers.
Afterwards, explore the Bran Castle also known as Dracula's Castle. Located in the village of Bran near Brașov, it is one of the most famous landmarks in the country, primarily due to its association with the Dracula legend. It was built in the 14th century on the site of a previously existing fortress, strategically positioned to guard the mountain pass between Transylvania and Wallachia. You'll have a chance to see the castle’s towers and rooms, learn more about the legend, admire the panoramic views and take a closer look at the museum exhibits.
After your visit to the citadel, you'll begin the return journey to Brașov, where you'll conclude your day filled with memories of Romania’s rich history and heritage.
