Your guide will meet you in Plaza del Triunfo, and, once inside, will lead you through the empty palace and reveal the secrets behind its history, architecture, and notable figures. Explore the spaces where King Ferdinand, Queen Isabella and Christopher Columbus made plans for the latter's journey to the New World, and learn about the influence King Peter I had on the palace as we know it today. You'll find that it's easy to fully appreciate the palace's architectural and artistic treasures without the crowds.
After exploring the palace, head outside to take a peaceful stroll through the gardens that expanded over the centuries; today they reach the size of seven hectares (17 acres) and are home to many exotic species of trees, flowers, and plants as well as some friendly peacocks.

- For guests with mobility impairments, the Alcázar has many tiny steps that make the monument hard to visit in a wheelchair, but it can be done. Please contact the local operator. You'll find their contact details on the voucher after booking
- This is a walking tour. Guests should be able to walk at a moderate pace without difficulties. It's suggested to wear comfortable shoes
- Please note, in the Alcázar backpacks must be placed at the front, so the back of the bag doesn't damage the tiles

Your guide will be waiting for you, holding a green Walks sign, in Plaza del Triunfo, by the big statue of the Inmaculate Virgin in the centre of the square. Please be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the starting time of the tour. The tour will end in the Alcázar Gardens.
