You'll have three hours in Alnwick so once you've explored the castle, you can enjoy some time strolling around the town. It's a haven for book lovers boasting one of the largest and most impressive second-hand book shops in Britain. Then, it's time to head north along the Northumberland Coast and admire the stunning historic villages and castles that pepper the rolling landscapes of southern Scotland.
