Leave the city behind and head north, passing the famous Forth Rail Bridge. Stop off in Anstruther, a town famous for its fish and chips, and snap some photos of the gorgeous sea views. Check out its independent shops, cafes and beach.

Then it’s time to head off to the star of the tour, St Andrews. As the spiritual home of golf, it is a must see for all devotees of the game. Stroll around and admire the stunning gothic architecture of Andrew’s University, its ancient cathedral and castle. You can explore the stunning beaches, get up close to sea life as you check out over 100 species of fish at the aquarium or just take time to explore the shops and cafes that make this university town special.

Then you’ll head to Falkland which is a beautiful village where time seems to have stood still! Fans of Outlander will recognise this town as post-war Inverness. You can take time to browse the craft shops or even visit the stunning Falkland Palace and Gardens. You’ll feel like royalty as you walk around the amazing formal gardens, discover its history and see the oldest tennis courts in use anywhere in the world. After a full day, you will make your journey back to Edinburgh.
