In just under two hours from London, the adventure will begin in Downton Village where your guide will give you a full tour of the village and will point out locations from the show including the church, post office, the hospital, as well as homes of key characters such as Isobel Crawley. Immerse yourselves in the atmosphere of the village, learning all the behind-the-scenes gossip, and take some time to explore on your own before heading back to the coach to visit the next destination, Highclere Castle.
See for yourselves the crowning glory of Downton Abbey of Highclere Castle, home of Lord and Lady Carnarvon. With a self-guided information sheet, explore the home that was designed by architect Charles Barry, and discover where memorable scenes were filmed including the library, drawing room, saloon, dining room and the bedrooms. You'll spend 3 hours here at Highclere Castle before re-boarding the coach and heading back to central London where the tour will come to an end.
