What to expect

Experience the natural beauty, rich history and culture of Barbados during a comprehensive island exploration with lunch. The Portuguese were the first to name Barbados, dubbing it "Los Barbadoes", which translates to 'the bearded one'. This moniker was inspired by the island's bearded fig trees, some of which you'll have the chance to see at the very beginning of your tour.

The first stop is Harrison's Cave, a majestic subterranean world where you'll board electric trams and journey through twisting tunnels. Here, you'll witness centuries-old stalactites and stalagmites, as well as the cave's special features - its streams, waterfalls, and pools. A visit to this cave promises to be an unforgettable experience. Your adventure continues in Bathsheba; renowned for its awe-inspiring beauty and powerful surf, it's a must-visit location on any trip to Barbados. After a morning filled with exploration, you'll savour the local flavours of Barbadian cuisine at a lunch stop.

Post-lunch, the tour will ascend Cherry Tree Hill and proceed to St. Nicholas Abbey. This plantation house is likely the last authentic 17th-century residence remaining in the "New World", producing award-winning rum that you're welcome to sample. To enhance your experience, consider adding the Heritage Railway option: at the chairman railway station, board a restored steam engine for a ride that offers spectacular views. The day concludes at the Barbados Wildlife Reserve, where there's a chance to spot the playful green monkey amongst a diverse range of other animals.
