Enjoy a guided tour from Sofia to two of the most fascinating towns in Bulgaria: Plovdiv, the European Capital of Culture 2019, and Koprivshtitsa, a picturesque town with an epic history and a striking architecture.

Your professional guide will take you to explore all the major attractions in Plovdiv old town and to discover the marvelous heritage left by Thracians, Romans, Byzantines, Jews, Greeks, Armenians and Bulgarians.
After visiting Plovdiv you will get back on the bus riding to Koprivshtitsa. On the route you will cross roses valleys, charming villages and the gentle hills of Sredna Gora Mountain.
Once in Koprivshtitsa you will admire its spectacular Bulgarian Renaissance mansions, and listen to the battles chronicles that have been fought in this town.

This itinerary is designed to give you free time for shopping, self-guided strolls around the towns, and have a meal in one of the many Plovdiv's delicious restaurants.

  • You're also suggested to bring some warm clothes with you, even during the summer, because Koprivshtitsa is located in the mountains, more than 1000 m above sea level, and the weather conditions can change within minutes
  • Most of the streets in Koprivshtitsa and the Old Town of Plovdiv are cobbled, so you’re strongly recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes
  • This tour doesn’t include any food and drinks. You can choose to bring your own lunch with you or to eat in one of the many restaurants/fast foods in Plovdiv
