As the sun begins to rise, you'll get picked up early in the morning from your hotel lobby to witness this awe-inspiring spectacle. After two hours of exploration, it's time for a short break and breakfast before you venture to the ancient capital city of the Khmer empire. Pause at the south gate of Angkor Thom city, where an enormous statue adorned with 54 gods and 54 asuras stands guard - each representing one of the provinces during the Angkor period. Then, reach Bayon temple, the last temple of the king. Here, symbols of Hinduism and Buddhism merge together.
As noon approaches, continue your journey to Ta Prohm, a temple enveloped by the jungle and brimming with atmosphere. After soaking up its mystical aura, it's time for lunch at a local restaurant near Srah Srang Reservoir. Savour the authentic flavours of Cambodian cuisine before concluding your tour.
