What to expect

With a short ride from Vancouver, hop on board a ferry and enjoy a 90-minute sail through the serene beauty of the Gulf Islands. If you're lucky you might even catch a glimpse of some marine wildlife so keep your eyes peeled for eagles, sea lions and whales.

When you arrive at the Swartz Bay Terminal on Vancouver Island, you'll head to the enchanting botanical paradise of Butchart Gardens. You'll wander through a series of themed gardens, checking out the huge Sunken Garden and the dancing fountain.

Then you'll head into the city of Victoria which boasts many impressive architectural wonders including the iconic Parliament Buildings and the waterfront Fairmont Empress Hotel. You can visit the unique shops and cafes on Government Street and in Chinatown. Stroll along the Inner Harbor for prime ocean views, snap some photos of the Victoria Parliament Building and the Fairmont Empress Hotel and spend your free time exploring the city.
