Chaves Bay, or Praia de Chaves as it's called in Portuguese, is one of Boa Vista's top-rated beaches. Why, we hear you ask? Because the sand's some of the cleanest on the island, and the wave conditions make it a watersports fan's playground. On this cruise, which you can book for the morning or afternoon, you'll see it for yourself as you sail along the island's coast to Morro d'Areia – this nature reserve on the south coast is home to harmless nurse sharks and sea turtles.
