What to expect

Luxor’s often dubbed the ‘world’s greatest open-air museum’, and what better way to see it in all its glory than from above? You’ll start with a motorboat crossing to the Nile’s West Bank where you’ll meet your pilot, crew, and fellow passengers. Once the hot air balloon’s good to go, you’ll hop in the basket and soar into the skies where you’ll be able to look down on sights like the Valley the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the city centre. The flight usually takes around 45 minutes, but if you’re lucky you could get double that, depending on the air temperature.

We recommend you wear comfortable clothing with long trousers and shoes.
Bring a hat, sunscreen, scarf and cameras as well as a bottle of water.
The experience is unsuitable for anyone with injuries, who recently have had surgery, back/hip/knee problems, health concerns, walking difficulties, severe auditory problems or is/may be pregnant
The pilot will cancel the flight if the weather is not safe.
