In the morning, your guide will pick you up at your hotel and drive to the Loire Valley, offering fresh croissants along the way. As you enter the park of Château de Chambord, your guide will share everything you need to know about the region's history. An audio-guided tour of the castle will reveal fascinating anecdotes about this impressive architecture built over 500 years ago by King Francis I of France. Next, enjoy a scenic drive along the river, glimpsing other wonderful castles such as Amboise (Leonardo da Vinci’s last home) and Blois, home to French kings during the Renaissance. For lunch, savour local cuisine paired with wines at a winery or restaurant. Use this time to ask your guide about wine or French culture.
After lunch, take in panoramic views of the vineyards of Montlouis-sur-Loire and Vouvray, known for world-famous white wines. Weather permitting, stop among the vines of Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Franc, where your guide will share secrets of vine growing. Visit a famous wine estate, exploring cellars harbouring millions of bottles. Finish the tour with a tasting of various wines, from reds to dry, sweet, and sparkling whites. Your guide will then drive you back to your hotel in the early evening.
