The Fondation Maeguerite et Aimé Maeght is one of the world's leading cultural institutions. Inaugurated on July 28th, 1964 by André Malraux, the foundation was born of the friendship of Aimé Maeght and his wife Marguerite with some of the most important artists of the 20th century.
The museum has one of the most important collections of paintings, sculptures, drawings and graphic works of modern and contemporary artists in Europe with more than 13,000 references: an exceptional collection of sculptures by Alberto Giacometti and works by Joan Miró, masterpieces by Pierre Bonnard, Marc Chagall, Alexander Calder, Georges Braque and many others.
